Kate was born to the Great Lake state of Michigan in the mid 70's to two wonderful and adventurous parents. Her art over the years has changed, and continues to do so, as much as the seasons of Michigan. When the idea comes, there is no stopping the process.

Being exposed to a strict Protestant upbringing, from the maternal side, coupled with the wild roots of early America, paternal, Kate's generational will together with the amazing strength of childhood imagination is translated through her work.
